Top 10 Pieces of Agent Carter Merch on Etsy
These days, Agent Carter merch can be hard to come by! The official stuff is all but gone, save for a few outliers, but fortunately, Etsy is a bastion of fan-created merchandise to fill the Peggy-shaped hole in our hearts. This list is a combination of fan favorites and things that you may not have seen before, and I’m really excited to share it with you! This list excludes cosplay items – there’s lots of cosplay items on Etsy, and I’ll be happy to do a separate list for those if you guys request it! L&L Automat Advertisement I’m a huge sucker for in-universe referential merch – stuff that looks like…

Are you ready for Agent Carter Week??
Last week was Walk Like Peggy Day – a day for fans of Agent Peggy Carter to wear their pride for everyone to see! I was at home on WLPD this year, though, and I wasn’t able to think of anything I wanted to do that quite did it justice. But then I had an epiphany a few days ago – we’re going to have Agent Carter Week here on EmmiJade.com! I’ve got lots of fun things in the works, including hair and makeup tutorials, 1940s themed food, cocktails and coffee, photoshoot locations, an instagram contest, and more! Agent Carter Week starts on Sunday, April 16th! If you’d like to get notifications when it…

Why You Should Be Watching ReBoot: The Guardian Code
(Note: This is not a spoiler-free review, but it is a spoiler-light review!) (EDIT: Due to overwhelming negativity, I am no longer responding to comments on this post. I stand by my assertion that I am an unpaid reviewer. I watched this last week when I was dealing with anxiety, and it made me feel better. If that offends you, feel free to take your opinions elsewhere.) They say 90s kids are the most nostalgic generation. I’m inclined to agree. Whether it has to do with fast-growing technology, or the current state of the world, or both, revisiting an old, favorite show can feel like hanging out with an old…

Besame Cosmetics Agent Carter Mystery Unboxing
Guys, guys. For like a year I’ve been eagerly awaiting the release of the Agent Carter makeup line from Besame Cosmetics. My favorite show, my favorite makeup – this can ONLY be good things. And last week, when Besame sent out an advertisement for a mystery box, in the spirit of Treat Yo Self 2018 and also my birthday, I had to have it. Well, not only did the box arrive precisely on my birthday, but I was not disappointed. (Hint: it contained one of my HOLY GRAIL cosplay props!) Watch the video below, and let me know what you think!

4 Shabby Chic Apartment Finds at Target!
This has been a super weekend filled with friends I don’t get to see very often! Nerrrrrrrrds. #friends #saturdaynight A post shared by Emily Pritchard (@emmijadeshow) on Mar 10, 2018 at 8:13pm PST We watched terrible movies (I had somehow managed never to have seen The Room), there were chilled face masks, wine, and we finally all saw Black Panther. It was a great weekend, and I was super sorry to see them go yesterday! The theme of the weekend was budget. We cooked at home, watched movies we already had, and even our trip to the theater was thanks to the delights of gift cards and MoviePass. There’s something to be said about making…

The First Annual Emcademy Awards – Part 2
Heeeeeeeeeeere’s part 2! it has been slightly longer than 24 hours, but I have been a Productive Adult in the last two days cleaning and decorating, so that makes up for it, right? Right? Most Likely To Give Me Anxiety Before It’s Even Out Ahahahahaha thinking about this movie too hard makes me vaguely queasy but it’s fine. Video Game I Always Play Again Instead of Playing The New Games In My Steam Library Who needs new games when I can be Queen of Ferelden for the 1131st time? Movie Boy So Pretty I Wanna Cry He does this on purpose, and it’s very…

The First Annual Emcademy Awards – Part 1
I’ve already done a post about movies in recent memory, but seeing as the night before last was the most glamorous night of the year (they clearly didn’t see me in the Agent Carter undercover dress at Dragon*Con last year – the more glitter the more glamour, amirite?) I couldn’t stop myself from staging my very own awards show. It’s basically the same thing, except instead of a bunch of crusty old dudes who eat pretension for breakfast giving awards to people in pretty clothes, it’s me, Em, a nerd in stretch leggings, who eats eggs for breakfast like a normal person. The Academy’s award categories often contain movies I have never heard…

My Vintage Makeup Capsule Bag
I started exploring a lot of my vintage makeup looks with a book called Style Me Vintage: Makeup (which inspired my earlier Clara Bow photos!) and one of the key things i learned from it was to build a small collection that you can build lots of looks from. Having a capsule bag or collection saves money, keeps things simple and organized, and makes sure you can be ready in a hurry! Foundation and Primer I keep things simple when it comes to foundation with drugstore brands. I find these work really well for me and can be found almost anywhere – and if you buy it on Amazon it’s about 75%%…

100 Things To Do In 2018
It’s 2018 planner time again! I’m working through the Leonie Dawson Shining Year Workbook, and in it you work for several days to create a list of 100 AMAZING things you’d like to happen in 2018. They can be big goals, or little ones, or in between – it’s supposed to be a way to quickly jot down all the neat things that you’d like to happen in the coming year. I actually managed to get done a huge chunk of mine last year (!!) and I can’t wait to get started on them again! Here’s my list of small, and not so-small goals for the coming year. Learn how…

5 Public Transport Essentials, or, Buses Are Hard
I am not a bus expert. In fact, I am a bus newb. A bewb, if you will. I was keenly aware that when I moved to Hunstville, a large part of my transportation situation would rely on this thing I don’t have much experience with. I researched it thoroughly, checking and double-checking routes, and, like a big giant nerd, leaving an hour (or more!) early to leave myself a time buffer in case anything went wrong. Several things went wrong. At one point, things went so wrong that I had too get off the bus and call a Lyft. But on this, my fourth week (how did that happen??) in Huntsville,…
